carry us on - winter solstice cards: letterpress printed
4.25in x 5.5 inch folded bright white flurry cotton card, printed in silver & gold.
Each comes with plain bright white cotton envelope.
Also available in discounted packs of 4 or 8.
Text says, “May what guides us through the longest night…carry us through till morning. Solstice blessings.”
Last year I wanted to make a winter solstice card that reminds us to return to the people, actions, places, things that help us find our way, even in the hardest of times. This year, this design is back by request.
The stars on the card are a representation of the Pleiades, or the seven sisters—a winter constellation in the northern hemisphere that has long been used for navigation. The science nerd in me also knows that the pleiades are surrounded by a reflective nebula that is a birthplace for stars.
Wishing you the kind of solace that keeps you grounded and active in the struggle for justice & liberation.
