From the original listing:

In March 2020, I wrote a little digital storybook with a retelling of the myth of Persephone. Somewhere along the line, someone said, “You should letterpress print this.” A year later, here it is: my first tiny book.

5.25in square on polar white Stonehenge 100% cotton paper. printed in gold ink with a red foil stamped pomegranate on the cover. Signed & numbered edition of 50.

Persephone’s story is about grief—about traveling to the Underworld and about finding our own way(s) back. This retelling has helped me to think about grief as a landscape and as an endless, cyclical journey. I made it because I needed it. I also made it for those of us who carry grief in our daily lives, and for those of us who love people who carry it. So, everyone.

This is a story about agency, about depression, about traversing the wilderness of grief. It is about making a new home where it seemed impossible to imagine staying.

Created with deep love, intention, & a scrappy will to keep going through it all. I hope you find something useful in it.

Love,
Nicole
